Technology Education

Welcome to Mr. Cardenas' Website!

On this website, students and parents can access a google calendar that shows all deadlines for upcoming homework assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects. The calendar will include links to important documents found in the google classroom (which will only be visible to students who have access to the google classroom). The calendar will also allow students to access our daily virtual lesson and schedule apointments for our Friday Office hours.

Before tests or quizzes, I will occasionally upload presentations, as seen in class, to google classroom for studying purposes, but students will be encouraged to take notes in class and keep track of all handouts throughout the year.

The following presentation is for all students and contains important links and information related to back to school schedules, class room procedures, safety regulations for the school, and key concepts for each class.

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!

High School

The Cresskill High School Robotics team has been around for several years teaching students how to combine their creative and analytical minds by designing, building, and programming a robot for a National Robotics Competition called First Technology Challenge (FTC). If you are at all interested in designing robots using 3D digital rendering tools, building robots to overcome obstacles like raised surfaces or lifting objects, programming advanced computer code that will allow the robot to move without anyone controlling it, or simply enjoy robots and want to help support our team, our doors are open to you! We host tryouts every September and our season last majority of the year. If you have any questions or concerns, talk to either Mr. Cardenas or Ms. Milewska in room A2 for more information.

Middle School

This is our second year running our Middle School Robotics Club, which invites all students to get involved with the designing, building, and programming of a small robot that competes in a National Robotics Competition called BotBall. Unlike High School robotics, where the students have to try out, all middle school students are invited to join this club. Even if you have no experience, we meet once or twice a month in the fall to prepare all students who are interested. Our season starts in January and goes until the end of the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, talk to either Mr. Cardenas or Ms. Milewska in room A2 for more information.
