Students start the year off by taking a survey to help determine their areas of strengths under the categories of Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences. Multiple Intelligences represent different intellectual abilities; it is thought that everyone has the eight types of intelligences in them, but at varying levels. These intelligences do not define the students and there is no fixed type of intelligence or learning style, but these "smarts" can offer students insight into what they may be good at.
Students will use these insights to decide on a future potential career and conduct research on that occupation using primary and secondary resources.
