We prepare students to be biliterate as they transition to high school by providing daily content area instruction in both English and Spanish.

• Practicing writing and grammar skills in Spanish and English by using digital resources like Keynote and Numbers.

How did Biltmore Preparatory Academy become an Apple Distinguished School?
Biltmore Preparatory Academy was first invited to apply for designation as an Apple Distinguished School in 2018. The rigorous application process required teachers to earn Apple Teacher certification and included the development of a comprehensive Book highlighting the school’s commitment to innovation, creativity, and meaningful integration of technology to support student learning.
Following its initial recognition, BPA maintained the designation for two years before being invited to reapply in 2020 and again in 2022. After the 2022 recognition cycle, Apple extended the designation period from two years to three years. In Spring 2026, Biltmore Preparatory Academy was once again invited to apply for recognition as an Apple Distinguished School.
To earn the 2026 designation, BPA completed an extensive application process demonstrating:
The school has an established one-to-one device program
Staff members exhibit Innovative use of the Apple platform
Leadership and staff are proficient with iPad or Mac
The school leadership team advances the vision of learning in the school through continuous innovation.

How are teachers supported in the use of instructional technology?
Site support from Biltmore Preparatory Academy's Technology Mentor Teacher: the technology mentor teacher supports teachers in the use of technology for teaching and learning. The technology mentor teacher is available to support teachers with the distribution and management of student iPads, planning for technology enhanced lessons, modeling of technology integration, and troublshooting.
District support from the Creighton School District Technology Integration Coach: the technology integration coach engages teachers in plan-observe-debrief cycles in which teachers increase their technological abilities with hands-on support in the classroom. The technology integration coach works alongside content coaches to align technology use to district and site initiatives.
Are students required to use the iPads all day?
No, the technology is a tool to support high-quality teaching and learning! Student iPads are used intentionally and deliberatly to enhance learning experiences and provide students with more creative and flexible learning opportunities. Technology is leveraged at Biltmore Preparatory Academy to make learning accessible for all students. Student collaboration and communication is the focus of instruction.
