The Ryder Library is a place where students learn to love reading and learning, ask questions, seek information, and share their knowledge with others. Everything we do in library class is guided by the Empire State Information Fluency Continuum, as well as a desire to help students discover the joy of reading and learning.

Library Policies and Routines
Students attend library once per six day cycle. Preschool students can check out one book at a time, while students in grades K-2 can check out two. Books will always be due at their next library class, unless they ask library staff to renew their book.
If your child damages or loses a book, we ask that you pay what you can to help replace it. No overdue fines will be charged but returning books on time is important so that your child can always have something new to read. Returning books also shows care for our learning community!
