Welcome to the Library! Students are invited to come in during study halls to browse, read, study, research and visit the library.
Library Services: Ms. Goldblatt is available to provide support for all students and staff. Students looking for information for school or personal interests are always welcome. The library can address almost any information need with either local resources, or through affiliations with our CDLC and BOCES partnerships.
Quiet Study:
The library provides the high school community with a quiet, non-disruptive environment conducive to studying and learning.
Library Hours:
7:45am - 3:00pm. Students that would like to work in the library after 3:00pm should see Ms. Goldblatt in advance to make individual arrangements.
Borrowing Policy:
Students may take out up to 3 books for 21 days. Students with overdue books are not allowed to take out additional books until overdue books are returned. Payment or replacement is expected for lost or damaged books.
Food and Drinks:
No food or drinks are permitted anywhere in the library. Beverage bottles should be stowed in book bags or left at the circulation desk.
Securly passes:
ALL students coming to the library are required to be on a pass. A Fast Pass should be used if a teacher is expecting the student back to class. A Study Hall Pass should be used if the student is coming to the library to stay for the duration of the period.
Students who come in or leave without permission, before the bell, or without signing in/out properly will have a cut slip issued.
Students can not come to the library from their lunch unless they have an appointment pass from Ms. Goldblatt. Students must request these in advance of their lunch period.
Computers:
Free-use computers are available for students to complete school work. If students are not working on school work, they may be asked and will be expected to willingly give up their computer as a courtesy to their fellow students.
Printing and Copying:
Black and white printing and photocopying are available for students to print school assignments and work. Abuse of printing privileges may result in computer and/or library access being restricted.
* Students who are disruptive, or do not follow these policies will be asked to return to their respective study hall, classes or lunch. Students asked to leave more than once will be restricted from the library for no less than one month.
