Coach Matt grew up in St. Paul and has played his entire club

and school career here in Minnesota. Although he continues

to play, he does recognize that the game is ever evolving and

enjoys diving into how to break down the game in new ways.

He is very much a student of the game and hopes he instills

that into his players.

Matt brings a play style that demands hard work as well as

allowing players to express themselves through the game,

even if that means making mistakes. He creates an atmosphere

that challenges players and encourages creative problem

solving. In his time away from coaching club and high school

soccer, Matt enjoys spending time up north and anything that

involves cooking and grilling.
