The Crane Elementary School District will provide Crane employees that currently hold a non-education related bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution an opportunity to participate in a Classroom Based Educator Preparation Program (EPP) the Crane Teachers Academy (CTA). The CTA is a voluntary two-year program available to Crane employees that are teaching in elementary or secondary classrooms or have taught with an Emergency Teacher Certificate in Arizona and are seeking a Classroom Based Standard Teacher Certificate in Elementary Education or Middle Grades Education.

Crane Teacher Academy Enrollment Process
We are seeking Internal Candidates for the Crane Teacher Academy Educator Preparation Program scheduled to begin July 2024
Upon successful completion, participant will receive an Institutional Recommendation from Crane ESD for a Standard Arizona Teaching Certificate.
Two-Year Time Commitment: 100 hours each year
Who: Current 3rd year Crane teachers with emergency certification
Enrollment Process:
· Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree as verified by Human Resources
· Candidate must hold current Fingerprint Clearance card as verified by Human Resources
· Current and three years of teaching experience
· Completion of Year One and Two Teacher Professional Development Pre-requisites.
· Provide a letter of intent to apply to current supervisor and Human Resources
· Complete online application
· Provide current resume
· Demonstrate ‘Effective’ teaching as evidenced by current teacher evaluation
Minimum expectations:
Commit to Monthly Meetings
Complete synchronous and asynchronous learning modules
Complete all quizzes, projects, and cumulative assessments with minimum score of 80%
Complete coaching cycles with Crane professional development team
Participate in self teaching video lesson review and reflection sessions
Submit 9-week Specific Outcome Plan and subsequent Analysis of Plan
Practice new learning by completing Crosswalk to Classroom activities
Engage in collaborative planning and problem solving
Demonstrate mastery in all competencies
Demonstrate 'Effective' teaching practices at end of years 4 and 5 as indicated on the Crane Teacher Evaluation System.
Commit to minimum of 3 hours per week to complete program of study
