Looking back at the quadrant chart, identify either your students in the upper left or lower right quadrants. Who are these students? Does their placement surprise you? What can you do from a psychosocial perspective to continue their momentum (upper left) or spark their motivation (lower right)?
4. Now, go to the Learning Continuum, and locate the students you considered in the activity above. Narrow your focus by selecting either a recently taught or upcoming unit of study. What information does the learning continuum reveal to you about this group of students?
5. Using your newly merged analysis of the Learning Continuum and the Quadrant Chart, how could you apply this as you plan for differentiation in your classroom?
