Offboarding FAQ's and Key Understandings
You'll lose access to district resources after your last contract day. Resignations mid-year take effect on your last work day.
This includes access to email, Google Drive, and district resources. Be sure to take action before your last contact day; call CISD Helpdesk at (972) 427-6000 ext. 60110 if assistance is needed.
Contents will no longer be accessible.
You must be cautious of which documents you are keeping for yourself and which you are transferring due to laws that protect student data and polices that protect proprietary information (detailed in the Staff Responsible Use Policy), as you will be liable for any violations of these laws or policies. These are the same requirements that explain why a district employee cannot simply transfer ownership to someone outside of the district, including their own personal Gmail account. That said, you can share and make copies of documents from your CISD account that you wish to keep that do not fall under a protected category.
If important data needs to be shared with another CISD staff member, you can transfer ownership of the file(s) and/or printer and give a hard copy to that person.
