The Stormcast has been bringing the CPU community live play-by-play since 2018! Originally a part of the Sportscast Media network, The Stormcast delivers all of the play-by-play action via streaming audio. The Stormcast is now a part of the CPU athletic department. The Stormcast is free of charge to listeners who access the broadcast via smart phone, tablet, computer and other devices. Families, fans, and CPU alumni all over the world can catch the Stormin' Pointers!
The Stormcast brings you football and volleyball in the Fall; wrestling, boys' and girls' basketball in the Winter, soccer in the Spring, and softball and baseball in the Summer. Stormcast broadcasters are members of the CPU community who know the student athletes, coaches, the programs, and their outstanding histories!
In the fall of 2020, the CPU school purchased a Hudl camera to add video broadcasts to CPU indoor activities. The goal was to find a broadcast solution that would offer viewing solutions to the CPU community, families, friends, and alumni that included audio also. A live video broadcast of home volleyball, basketball and wrestling contests was added to the audio commentary!
In the fall of 2022, the CPU school purchased a Hudl camera for the football field to add video to the football broadcasts.
In the spring of 2024, the CPU school purchased a portable Hudl camera to broadcast soccer matches.
The Stormcast is supported by local businesses and it is free of charge to all fans. We would like to thank those sponsors for making it possible to bring you The Stormcast.
