I will be able to trace the qualifications to run for president and a candidates' road to the White House from announcing their run to election day.
Some useful vocabulary:
Caucus: An alternative to the ordinary "primary" election system used by some states. In a caucus, voters get together in person to cast their ballots through discussion and debate. Caucuses can take several hours.
Convention: A gathering of the political party to formally decide on its nominee.
Natural Born Citizen: A citizen who became a citizen automatically at the time they were born. Everyone born in the USA is a natural-born citizen. Everyone whose parents are citizens is also a natural-born citizen.
So you've decided to run for President! It's a long and winding road to the White House. You'll need to figure out each hurdle you need to clear before you reach the Oval Office.
