Domestic Violence

Transition House is a leader in the field addressing domestic violence intervention and prevention. We serve people of all ages and backgrounds as we work toward social equity and system change to end the perpetuation of gender based violence. With deep roots in Cambridge, Massachusetts for over 40 years, our model advances cross-sector partnerships so that ending violence is embraced as a shared responsibility and an ongoing priority.

RESPOND, a pioneer in the movement to end domestic violence, is New England's first domestic violence prevention agency and the second in the nation. For over 45 years RESPOND has provided life-saving shelter, a crisis hotline, support services, training and education to more than 100,000 members of the community. Services are free, confidential, and available to all survivors of domestic abuse—women, men, teens, and children. Together, we can end domestic violence.

The mission of the Cambridge Women’s Center is to provide a supportive community space for all women by offering opportunities for empowerment, learning, healing, trauma support, and understanding.
