The Honors Independent Graduation Project program offers students an opportunity to explore an issue, question, or topic that is relevant and meaningful. Participants do extensive research, connect with the community outside of the school, and then make and/or do something that demonstrates new thinking and understanding. The program serves many purposes. Through the development of a project, students will make and deepen connections within the community, reflect on themselves as learners and thinkers, and prepare themselves for some of the challenges and opportunities that await after graduation. Participants will sharpen and deepen important 21st century skills such as information synthesis, collaboration and communication, creativity and innovation, and project management.
