LEVEL 2:
In this Honors Level intermediate course you will continue developing and refining your skills through a combination of client based Live-work contests, teacher generated, and self-directed assignments and projects. You will continue to improve your problem solving and visual design skills while while gaining proficiency with studio equipment. Your participation and collaboration in group critiques is an essential component of this course. You will continue to expand your knowledge and further develop your illustration, photography and computer skills using Adobe Creative Suite software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and learn various forms of multimedia design— creating animations, websites, and videos. You will begin to develop your digital, print and website portfolios.
LEVEL 3:
In this Honors Level advanced course you will continue developing and refining your skills necessary to be successful in either entry-level positions as a design professionals and preparation for postsecondary education. This course is geared towards independent projects. As advanced and highly motivated scholars you will continue to create visual messages for both personal project and live work clients. You will focus on practical applications of previously learned skills with an emphasis on portfolio development and college and career exploration and preparation. Your participation and collaboration in group critiques is an essential component of this course. You will continue to expand their computer skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) software. You will continue to refine and assemble your digital, print and website portfolios. Qualified students will be offered the opportunity to participate in RSTA’s Cooperative Education program in the design field.
