FAQ

A staff member may be available to accompany students from your Elementary or Upper School to CRLS after school, either walking or via MBTA bus. If this would be helpful for you, talk with your school's Rainbow Club or GSA advisor. Transportation home is up to you and your family. We encourage you to arrange to carpool, walk, or take the T with your friends.

Note: Permission slips are required for 6th-8th (print slip here) and 4th-5th (see your Rainbow Club advisor)!

A water bottle, a mask, a pencil... and anything else that will make you feel your beautiful Pride-ful self! If possible, bring a couple of items of clothing in good condition to contribute to the gender-affirming clothing swap.

Middle school students: No, unfortunately, we need you to register in advance and give a signed permission slip to your school's GSA advisor. If you've been to Friday Night Hype, it's the same deal.

CRLS students: Yes, please show up anyway! You just may have more limited workshop choices, if some are full. 

PreK-5th students: You're welcome to come with your family!

We are following Cambridge Public School's COVID safety policies. All students 12+ are required to be fully vaccinated in order to attend all afterschool events, including this one. Masks indoors are encouraged for everyone's health. Food at the end of the event will be served outside.

We've added more activities for adults and younger children this year! After the panel, please join us outside for LGBTQ+ family resources and activities, including a drag king storytime. Some of our Rainbow Club advisors will host bracelet-making craft time for upper elementary students. Workshops are still for grades 6-12 only, except for the Life After Cambridge Public Schools workshop which is also open to parents/caregivers.
