Coach Burkhart is entering his 5th year of coaching and teaching at Hickory High School, where he also serves as an Art teacher. A graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University, he was a four-year member of the baseball team. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he attended Fox Chapel High School before continuing his playing career in college.

At Hickory, Coach Burkhart has helped coach the JV team in past seasons and also served as Head Coach of the Middle School program, where he led the team to its first-ever championship. Now stepping into the role of Head Coach at Hickory High, he is committed to building on that success and leading the program toward a championship, with a strong emphasis on hard work, growth, and teamwork.

Coach Schneider is entering his 4th year as an assistant coach with the Hickory High School Varsity Baseball program. A 2016 graduate of HHS, he was a key member of the 2014 State Champion Hawks and the 2015 State Semifinalist team.

As a coach, Schneider brings firsthand championship experience and a deep connection to the program and the Hampton Roads baseball community. He assists in all aspects of the game, helping develop players’ skills and continuing the proud tradition of Hickory Baseball.

Entering 28th season as the Hawks head JV Coach.  Coach Hardison has been the one constant in the Hawks program. Under his leadership the Hawks JV program has a record of 302-94-1. Coach Hardison is a graduate of Oscar Smith High School.  He is married to Lisa with 2 sons, Eric and Ryan (who played baseball and graduated in 2017).
