Frequently Asked Questions

How can I prepare for Latin?

  1. Do not be overly concerned with learning Latin in the summer. Teachers will assume that you have no prior experience with the language whatsoever. They will start with the basics.
  2. Plan on doing some form of homework in Latin every night once school starts. A good estimate would be 30-45 minutes. If there is no written assignment, students can always work on vocabulary flashcards (these will be thoroughly explained in the fall as well).
  3. Prepare a work area in the home that will be totally quiet and free of all distractions if possible.

Can we view grades online? How do we access that information?

PowerSchool is the online system where you will be able to access grades and a variety of information. Information about how to obtain a PowerSchool log-in will be a part of the orientation sessions.

Schedules should be available on PowerSchool on August 6. Principal Chambers will make a robo-call alerting parents that schedules are available to view on PowerSchool. All schedules are final with the exception of missing core classes or enrollment in the wrong class.
