An Inclusive Theatre Experience
Join us for a special sensory-friendly performance tailored to provide a comfortable and inclusive experience for all audience members. Enjoy the magic of theatre in a welcoming environment with the following considerations:
Longer intermission
Relaxed theatre rules
Spread-out seating with smaller capacity
House lights kept up at a low level
Consistent sound levels, with no unpredictable loud sounds
More subtle lighting changes
Limited supply of sensory items available
We look forward to welcoming you!
Prepare for Your Visit
With the help of the Exceptional Learners Departmenr at Crown Point Schools, we have developed the following resources to prepare for your visit.
Picture Schedule Outlines the sequence of events, offering a clear schedule to ease pre-performance anxiety.
Social Story Helps attendees understand what to expect, guiding them through aspects of the theater experience.
Environmental Mapping Provides a map of key areas in the theater, including entrances, restrooms, and quiet spaces.
Story Summary Summarizes the story of Matilda the Musical scene by scene, giving context to the narrative and reducing uncertainty about the show.
