The Cabot School District is committed to

"Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's Opportunities."

Cabot Schools Math Curriculum focuses on Essential Skills built upon the Arkansas Mathematics Standards, adopted by the State Board of Education.

The Arkansas Mathematics Standards represent the work of the educators from across the state.  These documents include expectations for what all students should know and be able to do.  The revised standards also include additional examples as well as teacher notes which will help all teachers across the state implement the new standards with fidelity.

Standards for Mathematical Practice

The Standards for Mathematical Practice describe varieties of expertise that students at all grade levels should use to solve problems.  These practices rest on the processes and proficiencies of problem solving, reasoning and proof, communication, representation, and connections.  They  involve reasoning, strategic thinking, conceptual understanding, procedural flexibility and accuracy, and making sense of mathematics.
