I encourage taking a look at the menu calendar to ensure that your child receives food they will eat. Please ensure that the snack is healthy and nutritious. Because of severe allergies, we are asking that the snack is also nut-free.
Your child is welcome to bring lunch from home. To encourage health and wellness, we ask that you provide your child with a nutritionally balanced meal, and limit the amount of sugary snacks that are brought to lunch. My planning process incorporates assessing what children know, setting challenging yet attainable goals, and designing learning activities that help children achieve those goals. I use my professional knowledge of child development, the diverse needs of each child, and learning standards to select and design appropriate activities, resources, and formal and informal assessments. I differentiate instruction to meet individual needs while maintaining high expectations for all, and encourage children to take responsibility for their own learning.
