PreACT 9 Secure vs. HSAT
The PreACT 9 Secure is the standardized high school admissions test taken by 8th graders in Chicago to apply to Selective Enrollment high schools and other programs with admissions requirements, replacing the former HSAT. High schools also use these test scores for freshman course placement.
El PreACT 9 Secure es la prueba estandarizada de admisión a preparatorias que presentan los estudiantes de 8.º grado en Chicago para solicitar ingreso a escuelas de Inscripción Selectiva (Selective Enrollment) y otros programas con requisitos de admisión, reemplazando al antiguo HSAT. How to Access the FREE PreACT 9 Secure Diagnostic Test
How to Access the FREE PreACT 9 Secure Diagnostic Test
Set aside about 2½ hours to complete the full test.
Open the link and scroll down to “Free Full Length Diagnostic.”
Enter your information. Under “Student Grade,” select 8th grade, then click “Get the Free Diagnostic.”
On the next page, click the red “Go to the Prep Platform” button.
Select “CPS PreACT 9 Secure.”
Enter your email or phone number, then enter the secure code you receive.
Once inside the platform, use the side menu and scroll down to “Practice Test.”
Select “PreACT 9 Secure – Full Practice Test 1” and click “Start Test.”
Important: You only receive one free diagnostic test, and the test cannot be paused. Make sure you have enough time to complete the entire test before starting.
After you finish, your diagnostic results and feedback will be emailed to you.
