FAMILY

To me, being a housewife is hard work. I saw my grandmother, my aunt, and my mother do housework all day. When they are done with whatever they were doing, they find more things to do in the house. They never sit and if they sit. They are always moving, and they never complained. I often do housework and when I do this all day, I feel that I am dying because my hips and back feel like they will break off of my body. I takes so long just to clean the kitchen. One time, my brother said that being a housewife is like a game and I do not need to complain about it so much. When I heard him say this, I wanted to fight him but instead, I asked him to do housework for me to see how it is. He did! After a day, he said to me he never wants to do housework again and that he is so tired and wants sleep.  He wondered why our grandmother and mother never complained about the chores of the house. He said that without them, his room would always look dirty. Now he does not think housework is just a game. It is a real job and housewives are great people.

Family Love

My name is Ishwaq Hussin. There are seven members in my family. I have one brother and  three sister. Our father is the head of the family. He enjoys a commanding position . His decision is final in family matters. Nobody can dare to go against him. Everybody respects him. He is the guardian of the family. He is a cool and considerate man. He is just and fair. His decision is never influenced by any other. He is a retired teacher. He helps us in our study. Our father makes us hear good stories. Our family has been known for discipline and values. We give great importance to values and morals in life. Since our early  childhood we are taught to respect the elders and love the children. We learnt the lesson of punctuality and honesty  from  our father. It is due to the good education of our grandparents that we could excel both in sports and education. Since our childhood we have been put into the habit of rising early in the morning .This has a natural effects on our health and physical fitness .Family is the best thing you could ever wish for.

They are there for you during the ups and downs and love you no matter what. I have a wonderful family and I’m proud of them. I Love my family so much!!!

My Sisters

My nickname is GG. My real name is Hayder but I always use my nickname. I like to spend a lot of time with my sisters. My sisters are three and fourteen years old. I help the older one with her homework and color with the younger one. also help them fix their toys. My little sister always asks to sit beside me and watch me while I’m playing Marvel Spider, It Takes Two, and even Fortnite. I think if she keeps watching me playing Fornite she will play the game  better than me one day. My older sister has a lot of emotional swings. I call it Feeling Traveler. I created this word especially for her. It means that she travels between feelings a lot. One day you need to be very quiet around her and the next day she is full of energy.  Sometimes I can’t even talk to her because she will be so mad. But my little sister is not like that. She is full of energy everyday, every night, and  every morning. She never gets tired.

Growing up with a single parent 

               Growing up with a single parent to me and my siblings wasn’t easy for us. It 

feels like you are nothing, you shouldn’t  be out of this world by seeing our mother 

struggling to feed us. It wasn’t easy at all because we used to live in a poverty village in 

a refugee camp.  I remember when I was about 6 years old, my mom and my dad got into a 

fight which led my dad to move out of the house.

 The next day i tried to ask my mom what made dad leave us and decided to start his 

new life “ I don’t know,'' said my mom”, and I will never tell anyone what happened 

between us. I will just let go..! 

I started crying because we were living in poverty village that has no enough financial

to people. The next I didn’t not go to school, i just stayed at home and thinking how i can 

get my parents together but it did not work. Days by days my mom she started struggling 

With how she would feed us. It wasn’t easy because she didn’t have any job at all 

So she started farming corn, beans, cassava leaves…!
