Welcome!
We are looking forward to growing and learning with your family this year. We will spend the next few weeks learning about your children, getting to know their interests, identities, families, backgrounds, experiences. We will also spend time teaching the children how to navigate the world of Remote Learning to support them in building independence in their academic experiences.

Greetings! My name is Alli Bizon and I am very excited to be working and growing with your family this year. This will be my fourth year at Suder and 10th year in education. I attended Emerson College in Boston, studying Speech Language Pathology and Audiology as an undergraduate and received my Masters in Education from the University of Chicago from the Urban Teacher Education Program. I hold a Early Childhood Montessori certificate and a Lower Elementary Montessori certificate. I hold an English as a Second Language endorsement and completed coursework for my National Boards Teaching Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist this past summer. I am originally from Philadelphia, home of the delicious cheesesteak and my beloved baseball team, the Phillies; I have lived in Chicago for 9 years. I enjoy running, yoga, biking, hiking, learning about education, eating, running after my silly 16 month old (Autumn), and laughing with my husband (Dan)! I believe strongly in a partnership with families and greatly appreciate all your support in your child's education!
This is Miss K's seventh year as an assistant teacher at Suder Montessori, and definitely the weirdest one! While she is sad that we can't see our students for in-person learning in the classroom, she's excited to see all of the smiling faces of class 114 online. When she's not in school (and sometimes even when she is!) you can find her deejaying for weddings and other events, taking walks through beautiful Humboldt Park, reading a book in her awesome backyard, and probably thinking about food. Miss K is from Kenosha, Wisconsin, but has lived in Chicago since 2002. Her hopes this year are for her classroom and school community to strengthen its bonds and form lifelong friendships, being constant sources of support as we navigate through these strange times. Her goal this year is to keep adding to her Montessori knowledge and help out with more teaching.
