Ms. Brotman
School Counselor: esbrotman@cps.edu
Hello everyone! I am the School Counselor at Stone Academy. I became a school counselor so I could help students with social, emotional, and academic concerns. There are few people in a child’s life that can play the role of unbiased advisor, and I believe that is precisely the counselor’s job. I truly enjoy fulfilling this role for my students.
I love being a school counselor and especially love being a part of the Stone community. As a school counselor, it was important for me to find a job where counseling, and looking at the whole child was emphasized throughout a school’s culture. When I found Stone and learned about this school’s environment, I knew I had found the right place. We are a team at Stone, and firmly believe in the importance of supporting one another so we can best serve our students. It is precisely this reason that has kept me at Stone for the past 13 years!
