Ms. Spears began liturgical dance while in high school, ministering at St. Raphael Catholic Church (NC) for many years. Her choreography interprets the lyrics and themes of the music, using some sign language and lyrical dance. She continued liturgical dance and choreography throughout her performing career and also founded/directed a children's liturgical dance group at St. Benedict Church in Chicago. Ms. Spears has choreographed dances for all of her school dance programs and all of the studios where she previously worked. Her choreography has been presented on Dance Slam at Dance Chicago three times. She choreographed Paint by Numbers for the Motivity choreographers festival in Chicago in 1998. She has also been a guest choreographer on many occasions.
