Hi, my name is Lizbeth A. and I’m a current senior. I’m involved in tennis, Zero Waste, and NHS. I enjoy traveling, writing, and spending time with my friends. My favorite show is Criminal Minds and my favorite movie genre is action. I am fluent in both English and Spanish so don’t hesitate to ask for help in either language. I want to continue learning about new people, places, and cultures. As a mentor, I hope to make you feel comfortable enough to build a relationship outside of the Writing Center. Feel free to come by for any help you may need (writing, translation, personal advice, questions, etc). I hope to see you grow, not only as a writer but also as an individual.

Hello, My name is Tahj B. and I am currently a junior at Solorio. During the time I have to myself, I like to play basketball and play video games. At school, people know me for being a good person and being an approachable person as well as a sports player. I joined the writing center to become a more helpful person and show to the school that I can challenge myself.

Hello!, My name is Kelly B. And currently I am a sophomore. You may or may not know me but I stand out mostly because of my style and aesthetic, I am excited to help you bloom into the best you can be! hope that we can all grow together to realize that no one is perfect and that's okay that just fits more time for improvement. On my free time I like to listen to music and I really enjoy putting outfits together. I am currently taking honors classes for my math and science courses. I speak both Spanish and English. I also enjoy theater as well. As your mentor I promise to help you grow in your writing and as a person as well. Heyy!! My name is Tamara G. and I am currently a senior at Solorio. I am a team member of the Solorio Poms and the softball team. I love watching Youtube and Netflix, doing my makeup, hanging out with friends, spending time with my family, and cooking new meals. You’ll also probably catch me drinking a drink from Starbucks everyday, which is something I need to stop! I am a very sweet, understanding, trustworthy and supportive person. This being said, I can assure you that whenever you come to the Writing Center, I will be here to help you in whatever way you need. I am open to talk about anything or give outside of school advice while still helping you find yourself as a writer. A goal of mine is to make you feel comfortable enough to open up to me and help you reach your full writing potential! Hello my name is Eduardo G. and I am a current senior. I describe myself as someone who has a positive attitude, outgoing, active, and talkative. My hobbies consist of reading books, bullet journaling, binge watching anime, watching documentaries, and listening to music. As for extracurricular, I am a part of Jazz Band, Zero Waste, and National Honors Society. My goal is to help identify yourself through writing and support you through this process. I joined this class that since I was a pretty good writer then that I could help people who were having trouble and to give them the push that they needed. I was never a really good writer but once I started to get my motivation going from my mom and dad, and my teachers, I started to feel engaged in my writing and reading. Such as when I was little my mom would read to me a lot before I went to sleep and later on when I went to kindergarten I was happy and I wanted to read and write more than the other kids in the class, but as time went on I began to lose it and I would be bored because I wasn’t engaged anymore. But then my teachers came in handy and brought my confidence back and now I feel like im increasing and with that I would like to help others to get their confidence up and to get the to engage in their work like I did.

Hello everyone, my name is Alexia G. and I’m currently a sophomore at Solorio High School. During my free time I honestly just do whatever comes my way so everyday I do something new. I enjoy painting although I’m not the best at it. I have decided to join the writing center because I enjoy writing and because I like helping others. As a mentor in the writing center this year I hope that I’m able to help everyone that I can with their writing and possibly more. I’m excited for this school year and can’t wait to start mentoring students.

Hi everyone! My name is Jimena and I am a currently a senior. I'm involved with many extracurriculars including Zerowaste, Dreamteam, Afterschool matters, and a team player for the girls' softball and tennis teams. When I have free time I tend to spend time with my three brothers, cooking with my mom, painting with my dad, and cleaning. Also, I really enjoy meeting new people and forming friendships if possible. I'm glad I chose to become a mentor for the writing center since I like knowing that I'm helping others improve on a skill. I'm hoping to see new faces this year! :)

Hi my name is Marcos R. and I am a senior in high school. I'm involved in a lot of extracurriculars, such as choir, water polo, student voice committee, National Honor Society, and many more. I have taken two years of AP Spanish so I would love to help y’all with your spanish writing, and I’m currently in my second year of AP English, so I can certainly help you in both.
