Class of 2022

Hi my name is Luis A. I am a sophomore at Solorio. Activities I like doing include playing video games. I am more into mobile games.  I also like editing videos and find it to be a very fun thing to do in my free time. I speak both Spanish and english. I am also a big fan of marvel movies and I also enjoy watching horror movies. I am a very friendly and chill person and will hope to build a good partnership with you. I hope we can grow as people and writers and achieve our goals.

Hi, I'm Juju and I'm 16 years old. I'm a sophomore here at solorio that enjoys playing softball here at school and as well as outside of school. I very much enjoy listening to music ( I literally cannot do anything without music ) cartoons/anime are also one of my favourite things to watch, and I enjoy playing Call of Duty and Minecraft on my PS4. Helping others out is something I love to do, it's just part of my nature. Here at the writing center I hope to be more of a friend helping a friend rather than being your tutor but, I expect respect from both parties. I hope to help you excel in your studies and build a comfortable enough relationship where I can say “hey, I know you !”. I hope to see you here at the writing center <3

Hi, my name is Gabino H. I am currently a senior and this is my first year doing the writing center. The reason why I chose writing is that I wanted to better improve my writing skills and be able to teach others. Some things that I like to do are playing basketball and video games and going out. I speak two languages and I hope to learn more about teaching others and Improving my writing. I hope to create a positive impact on you and I hope you tell your friends about the writing center.

Heyyy! My name is Michelle and I am currently a senior. I am on the poms team this year and my favorite show of all time is That ‘70s Show and some of my favorite artists are Kali Uchis and the Rolling Stones. I joined the writing center because I thought it’d be fun to meet and help new people. I’m a very understanding and helpful person so feel free to come by for any help you may need. Can’t wait to become your mentor and maybe even become your friend<3.

Hey! My name is Regina Maldonado and I’m currently a sophomore here at Solorio. I would describe myself as overall a friendly, talkative and an approachable person. Other things about myself would be that I love to read and write. Currently, my favorite media right now is Heaven’s Official Blessing, which is a chinese novel. I also enjoy playing games such as Identity V or NieR: Automata and editing (I use After Effects 2019). I can speak and write both in English and Spanish. I joined the writing center in hopes of improving my writing and my motivation to help out others. I’m really looking forward to helping you guys out in being a successful writer, not just as a mentor but as a friend too! :3  

Hi! My name is Giovanna M. and I’m a Senior here at Solorio. I can’t wait to get back to in person tutoring and I’m very excited to soon start mentoring students. My favorite sport is soccer and I love finding new shows to watch on Netflix. I also love reading books, hanging out with my dog, and going on walks. At Solorio, I’m involved in Girls Soccer, NHS, and Sisterhood. As a mentor for this year, I’m committed to help out anyone through their writing and I’m excited to be able to form part of the Writing Center this year. Hi! My name is Gabriela M, but I prefer being called Gaby! I am a current Senior that seems to have everything together, but in reality doesn’t. Some extracurricular activities I am involved in are volleyball, track, Zero Waste, Women in Science, the NHS, and a Teen Volunteer program at the Field Museum. This past Summer, I had the opportunity of participating in an internship and I hope the opportunity is offered to you as well! But enough of me. As a mentor, I hope to provide solid suggestions that can be incorporated into your writing. I am down to earth and will always respect your ideas and opinions as long as you do the same! Hey everyone! My name is Alexander Medina and I am currently a senior at Solorio. Currently, I am a part of the Zero Waste, NHS, and Math team. I consider myself to be funny, hardworking, and overall pretty laid back. In my free time, I like to play video games or go on a night drive.  I also really enjoy Cars, as they have been a part of my life since I was born and have been a great part of my life. 

I joined the writing center to help the people around me and our school community because we all have our struggles. I also joined to embrace the importance of writing since it's a huge part of our lives even if we don't think about it. I hope to see you guys soon!
