Welcome to English 2! In this course, we will explore themes of identity, culture, family, and tradition. Through our exploration of these themes we will strengthen our reading, writing, and research skills as well as develop your vocabulary. Additionally, we engage in class and small group discussions where you will challenge yourself to be open with classmates and listen to differing opinions.

Current Unit: Coming of Age
Students will study stories that discuss growing up and coming of age. We will be introduced to the skills we will use during the school year including determing the theme of a text, identifying symbols, and use direct evidence in a text.
