- Starting a Service Learning Project: All Service Learning projects and experiences must be pre-approved by the school's Service Learning Coach. Teachers and other faculty members should complete the Service Learning Project Certification (Forms) before starting a project. Service Learning credit will not be granted for projects that have not been pre-approved.
- Forms are located in the main office or you can download a Service Learning Project Certification Form here.
- Once your project has been approved, you may begin.
- 2018 and 2019 Graduating class will receive MAX of 15 hours per Integrated classroom project completed.
- 2020+ Graduating classes do not receive "hours" for their Integrated Service Learning Projects instead they are given a Pass/Fail grade in Gradebook and students must complete 2 Integrated Service Learning Projects by the end of their Senior year to meet the graduation requirement.
- Ms. Meza will assure that the Service Learning Component is then added to the teacher's Gradebook
- once it is added into the teacher's Gradebook, the teacher can begin to record the students Pass/ Fail grade.
- Completing a Service Learning Project:
- 2018 and 2019 Graduating class: teachers will turn in a Service Learning Classroom Integrated Project Timesheet to assure that all students who completed the project receive their hours
- 2020+ Graduating classes: Teachers will not need to turn in anything to the Service Learning Coach. At this point they should be recording the students' grades into the appropriate Service Learning Component added to that class' Gradebook.
