In order to support students' remote learning during this time of transition and uncertainty, adults will need to draw on their own SEL skills and contribute to the collective well-being of their school teams. Find guidance and resources to care for your own social and emotional needs and those of your colleagues from your own home.
A few ideas to help you unwind after a day of remote teaching:
Support local businesses and treat yourself to a nice meal by ordering food for delivery or takeout.
Spring cleaning- this is a great time to purge out those closets and drawers.
Light candles, use an infuser with essential oils.
Take a virtual tour of a museum. Between the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, National Gallery of Art, and the Guggenheim Museum, there are plenty of opportunities to see and experience the magic that museums have to offer.
Get outside in nature - even if you are avoiding crowds.

Challenge yourself to stay in the present: When you find yourself worrying about something that hasn’t happened, gently bring yourself back to the present.
Do what you feel helps you feel a sense of safety.

Have a Netflix Watch Party with friends remotely.
Schedule time to have dinner with friends and family via video chat.
Share positive things with your team and friends (pictures of kids, pets, etc).
Start a virtual book club.

If you have kids at home make sure that they are staying physically active.
While it is great to check in with family, friends and colleagues, sometimes it also helps to talk to someone who is trained to help you understand and work through feelings and emotions.
