We understand that Social Distancing is difficult. We miss doing things in our community. We miss seeing our family and friends. We miss going to school, work, and social events. These changes can leave you feeling lonely, stressed, and sad. There is no right or wrong way to feel right now. We want you to know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Technology connects us, even when we are physically apart.
There are many things you can do from home to take care for your emotional health. Journaling is a great tool that helps the brain regulate emotions. It can help you manage personal adversity and change, and even help you see things from a different perspective. In addition to supporting your mental health, journaling is a great way to document what is happening during this historical time. Journaling looks different for everyone. You might journal in a notebook, e-mail to yourself, or take notes in your phone--try different ways of journaling until you find what works for you.
As a way of bringing our Schurz Community closer together, the Cluster Team has created this Community Journal! Entries are anonymous (no names), and we will be periodically shared on this page.
