Jardeleza 143

WELCOME TO THE TEAM!

In 143, we believe that Early Childhood Education should be based in joy and play. We have high expectations for all learners and promote their success as our own. We believe that learning does not have to look a certain way to be meaningful, and aim to integrate students' strengths into all learning experiences and our learning environment. We view the family as student's first and most important teacher, and as such want to work as partners in student's education. We believe that early learners have an incredible capacity to grasp complex concepts, and see our role as supporting these learners in developing their curiosity, confidence and desire to learn.

Our values in 143 are joy, leadership, community and growth.

Meet the teachers!

Teacher Jardeleza

My name is Maria "Libby" Jardeleza (Har-deh-LEH-zah) (she/her/hers). You can call me Teacher Jardeleza, Teacher J, or whatever feels comfortable!

I grew up outside of Washington D.C. and Chicago. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and am currently studying Early Childhood Education at National Louis University. This is my second year teaching at Saucedo, and I have worked as an assistant gym teacher at Lea Elementary in West Philadelphia, and a student-teacher at a HeadStart program in Pilsen.

I have two younger brothers and an older sister. I love to cook, swim and read. I am always looking for new recipes and book suggestions, so please share!

Pre-K is my favorite grade because joy & exploration are the base for all learning. We have the ability in pre-k to choose our learning experiences and units of study, drawing on our natural curiosities and strengths while developing our competencies and making connections. We choose how we engage and what our learning community looks like. By valuing the unique strengths of each student and family, we develop partnerships to build a strong sense of self & community and foundation for academic success.

MRs. Nettie

Hi everyone, my name is Nerina Andrade and I feel more than happy to be part of 143 classroom and to work with Teacher J and of course with you and your child. By the way, you may call me Mrs. Nettie.

I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and came to the United States when i was 12 years old. I've been working at Saucedo School for the past four yeas and its a pleasure to work with Teacher J again in Pre-K. For me, every day is a new day!! And its always good to look forward, I really enjoy every single day to help my students in everything that they might need. That's what I'm here for, to support them in every single way.

I am a mother of four kids, and I thank God for letting me being where I am at the moment. Thank you for trusting us, we are here for you and your child so please don't hesitate to email us on every question that you might have for us. We are here for you.

2021, we are so excited to part of your new family.

Love, Mrs. Nettie
