Who is Ms. Merzel?

Hi! My name is Ms. Merzel and I'm excited for another great year teaching 4th grade math! This is my fourth year at Rogers; I grew up in this neighborhood so I'm really happy to be here. I can't wait to meet all of my new students and have an engaging year full of growth, hard work, and of course a lot of math skills and strategies.

Here's a little about me:

During the summers, I work at a day camp where I love dressing in fun costumes, dancing and playing sports.

I'm a gymnast and I like doing yoga.

I have 3 beautiful nieces whom I love spending time with.

I love incorporating social emotional learning, read-alouds, and music into my teaching.
