The Social Sciences Department is committed to helping students become inquisitive and complex thinkers by engaging them in the analysis of political, geographic, economic, and social dimensions of our contemporary and historical world. Students develop skills of inquiry and analysis while engaged in solving real-world problems in cooperation with policy-makers, community leaders and activists, national organizations, etc. Seeing the world from different perspectives, students are encouraged to make a personal commitment to leading active and productive roles in the global village.
