Middle Grades Teacher: Created a culture of readers in grades 5th-8th. Utilized “best practice” methods in a Balanced Literacy to scaffold instruction. Targeted instruction to meet student needs resulting in significant gains on NWEA assessments.
Adjunct Professor: Prepare TFA teachers to understand best teaching practices in Literacy. Coursework was taught in the areas of Reading & Writing Instruction, Reading in the Content Areas, and Reading Research for the Graduate School of Education at Domincan University.
