Hello students and families! Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! I look forward to working with you to make the best of these unforeseen circumstances.
A little bit about me…I originally studied Fine Arts at DePaul University and graduated with my Bachelors Degree in 2007. I began teaching in the alternative school network in Chicago as a high school art teacher. While doing that, I pursued my Masters in Art Education from Boston University. I took a break from the classroom for a few years and worked in the non-profit art sector developing arts based programming for schools all over Chicago. However, the call back to the classroom could not be denied and this past year I was training through the AUSL Teacher Residency program and completed my Masters in Special Education. Working in education and providing quality and equitable opportunities for young people is my passion!
