Dear 7th grade Scholars!

This has been a very unique school year! Despite all of the situations that have arisen, as your teacher, I’m committed to ensure you have the tools you’ll need to become a successful Mathematician. Remember you are in charge of your education as a math Scholar and a lifelong learner.

The following assignments are to be completed at home during E-Learning Days:

  • Go Math!
    • Online (my.hrw.com)
  • Complete assigned Interactive Student Lessons - Module 7
  • Complete assigned Homework assignments - Module 7
  • Assignment due dates: 3/19, 3/20, 3/23, 3/24, 3/26, 3/27
  • Practice math utilizing Interactive Student Lessons for ANY lesson you choose (review old or current ones, preview new ones)
    • Practice Skills Workbook - Module 7 Lessons (if technology is not accessible)
  • Must provide written note from parent/guardian stating no technology access
  • Due upon return to school
  • Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.com)
  • Practice using NWEA math scores data
    • Search “MAP Recommended Practice” or “NWEA”
  • Practice Module 7 Topics
    • Search “Write and Solve 1-Step Inequalities” (3/16 - 3/20)
    • Search “Write 2-Step Inequalities” (3/20 - 3/24)

7th and 8th graders worked collaboratively as one team during the Irons Oaks field trip! The rainy day brought out the best in Murray Scholars!

Please note all students have received access to our curriculum (Go Math!) online https://my.hrw.com.

FYI, the Interactive Edition provides online videos for each topic as well as practice problems. The online Student Book is a pdf version of the entire textbook. Please note that with this wonderful online access, students will receive assignments and assessments online. Thanks for your continued partnership!

Friday, 10/18/18 Field trip to Irons Oaks (7th AND 8th graders)

  • Students MUST return, BOTH the Irons Oaks Waiver and MLA permission slip!
  • Students MUST be at Murray Language Academy for a 8 a.m. bus departure!!!
  • Please dress for the weather, we will be outside ALL day!!!

High school fair - TBD

Private and public schools will be represented. There is a fee of $15 per family if tickets are purchased in advance, $25 if tickets are purchased at the door. For more information such as what high schools are participating parents are encouraged to go to www.chischoolgps.com.
