Music of the Baroque's Strong Voices program provides to Lindblom: a voice teacher once each week, accompanists for our concerts, guest performances from professional singers, a masterclass with a collegiate voice instructor, a choral workshop with a professional conductor, among other various supports.
The Lyric Opera of Chicago has invited Lindblom's choirs to attend backstage tours and dress rehearsal performances in the beautiful Civic Opera Building. We are excited to participate in their Explore Opera program in the 19-20 school year!
Lindblom's A Cappella Choir loves attending Chicago A Cappella's Youth Choral Festival!
In 2014, Lindblom received the GRAMMY Foundation's Signature Schools Community Award, which included a $2000 grant to Lindblom's music program.
Varsity Singers was fortunate to participate in the Lakeside Singers' Kids on Track program for the 13-14, 14-15, 17-18, and 18-19 school years.
In this program, Lindblom's Varsity Singers students rehearse with professional musicians from Lakeside Singers, perform at a Lakeside Singers concert, and then make a professional-quality recording at the venerable Chicago Recording Company!
Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE) has been a partner of Lindblom Math & Science Academy for many years. In recent years, Lindblom's choirs learned songs and history from the Middle East from Mr. Ronnie Malley.
