Lasalle II's Code of Conduct for Parents and Spectators at Sporting Events
At L2, we strive to create a positive, supportive, and respectful environment for all athletes, coaches, and participants. The role of parents and spectators is vital to maintaining the integrity and enjoyment of our events. By attending athletic events, you agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct:
Athletes: Cheer for all players, regardless of team affiliation. Encourage effort, sportsmanship, and fair play.
Coaches: Respect the decisions made by coaches and support their guidance to the players.
Officials: Always show respect for referees and officials.
Other Spectators: Always show respect for other spectators.
Remain positive, supportive, and respectful at all times. Avoid using negative or discouraging language.
Celebrate the accomplishments of all athletes, not just those on your child's team.
Understand that winning and losing are both part of the experience. Encourage athletes to handle both with grace and respect.
Treat all facilities with respect. Dispose of trash appropriately, and ensure that you leave the area in a clean and tidy condition.
Follow any specific rules or guidelines set by the event organizers or venue.
Spectators should remain in designated spectator areas and avoid interfering with the game or the players.
Do not engage in disruptive or defamatory behavior such as yelling at athletes, coaches, or officials.
Coaches are responsible for directing their teams. Parents and spectators should refrain from giving instructions to players during the game.
Any form of verbal or physical abuse, harassment, or inappropriate conduct toward any participant—whether athletes, coaches, referees, or other spectators—will not be tolerated. Individuals engaging in negative behavior will be asked to leave the event and may face further disciplinary action, including suspension from future events.
By following this Code of Conduct, parents and spectators help ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone involved. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to creating a positive atmosphere for athletes to grow and thrive.
Thank you for your support!
