WEEK 1
EXPECTATIONS FOR MEDIA
COMPLETE WORK IN CLASS. If there is an assignment to be done, that should be FIRST priority.
STAY ON TASK. The number one reason for incomplete/missing work is because students make the choice to prioritize socializing or playing games. There are only so many restrictions that can be set or so much time I can spend actively monitoring screens.
ASK QUESTIONS. If you do not understand the assignment, please ask for help! They can come to me, raise their hand, ask a friend, or even send me an email if they need additional support.
MANAGE YOUR TIME. Just because an assignment isn't due for two or three class periods, doesn't mean you should make the choice to "wait" or procrastinate the assignment.
FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. Sometimes, you lose points for not following the directives given. You should make sure all criteria are met.
ACCEPT FEEDBACK & MAKE REVISIONS IF REQUESTED. If I leave comments with feedback and an opportunity to earn more credit for an assignment, I encourage you to make those revisions and resubmit the work.
FINISH WORK AT HOME BEFORE THE DUE DATE. Make sure to finish assignments at home that were not finished in class.
Activities for Week 2 (Grades 4-5) | Grades 6-8 Refer to Google Classroom
Complete the assigned BLOOKET (linked below) on Online Safety. You can choose which game mode you'd like to do. Be sure to use YOUR NAME so that I can mark who has completed It.
Once you have finished the Blooket, you can choose to do one of the activities below- Read books on EPIC (no videos), Interland, Digi Passport Games, or one of the Breakout Rooms.
