Is your CPS High School having Freshman Connection this summer? Learn more about it, the dates/times, and register on this website.
If your child is currently on a waitlist for a CPS school, offers can be given out starting April 1st to the first contact listed in your GoCps account by email or phone. The lower your waitlist #, the better chance you have of receiving a waitlist offer. If you receive a waitlist offer by email or phone, you should see it at 8:00 am the next day in your GoCps account and have 2 business days to log in and accept it before it expires. Accepting a waitlist offer will automatically decline your current GoCps offer. The first contact listed in your GoCps account should check their email and phone at least once per day starting April 1st if you're expecting a waitlist offer.
The GoCps rolling waitlist opens on April 1 @ 10:00 am in your GoCps account. The rolling waitlist lists CPS schools that have or might have seats available. ONLY add your child's name to a waitlist for a school you want MORE than your current GoCps offer. Accepting a waitlist offer will automatically decline your current GoCps offer. More information on the rolling waitlist is on the slides below in the "Resources" section.
If your child applied for Principal Discretion, those who are awarded an offer will be notified on April 12th. Offers must be accepted by April 19th.
If you want to apply to Intrinsic's downtown location, you must apply using this link. Their school is not a choice on the GoCps application.
Applications for private High Schools can usually be found on their website. The tab for Private School Scholarship Information at the top of this page might be useful.
