Friends of Hancock
FOH Mission
Friends of Hancock (FOH) shall exist for the purpose of broadening the involvement of students, student families, and John Hancock College Preparatory High School, through support for all school sports teams, clubs, and/or various student activities and events. Friends of Hancock works to achieve this, through active participation of as many students, parents, and supporters as possible in our fundraising activities. Friends of Hancock works closely with the principal and administration of John Hancock College Preparatory High School to determine what the financial needs are of the various sports teams, clubs, and/or student activities and events that are not covered by the Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Friends of Hancock will then provide financial assistance by purchasing equipment, items, or fund a project that will benefit the students of John Hancock College Preparatory High School.

Fall Festival - 10/25/23
Things got a little scary during the fall festival when the creepy clown took over our table.
FOH supplied pumpkins for the fall Festival by granting a $500.00 grant to Student Council and Culinary Club.

Teacher Appreciation 2023
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week was the week of May 8th - May 12th. FOH work with the Hancock Administration Team and Hancock parents to provide a week full of fun treats for the staff at Hancock.
To the staff: Thank you for all you do. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed and you are all greatly appreciated!
Class of 2023 Decision Day Celebration
FOH worked with the Hancock Counseling Department to put together an amazing celebration for our Class of 2023 Eagles. With the help of many Hancock staff and parents FOH was able to raffle off many dorm essentials (Target and Amazaon giftcards, floor lamps, twin sheet sets, towel sets, mini tools and much more). One lucky Senior won a MINI dorm size refrigerator. FOH gifted each Senior a canvas bag with the logo of their choice. Thank to to all who donated!

School Awards Night 2022
All students that attended the Sports Recognition and the School Awards Night received a doughnut from FOH. Congrats to all the students on their hard work this season and school year.
Teacher Appreciation 2022
