How To Register

To officially registered, you must obtain support from your school Principal. Any CPS school is welcome to bring students grades 6-12 to TheatreFest. There are two divisions: High School (9-12) and Middle School (6-8). All teams can have up to 15 students but smaller groups are welcome to attend and compete!

Students will be exposed to college-level theatre programs, professional theatre organizations, theatre workshops, and they will receive feedback from theatre professionals on their performances.

Deadline: November 17, 2025

Each school will be limited to 20 total performance slots. You will not need to know precisely who will be performing what until January; however, we would like to know how many performances you plan to submit for planning purposes.

All registration forms are due by December 15, 2025. All registration forms can be found below and should be filled out for each member of your team that will be competing in individual category, partner category, ensemble category, or musical solo category.

Day of Event

Students will work with their coach to rehearse their performance piece. Performances will be performed in front of an adjuncator for judging and all finalist for the live performance will be notified during lunch. After lunch, everyone will watch the finals together and a winner in each category will be announced at the end of the event.
