<- While Chinatown is a place to visit, it is also a cultural hub for many Chinese-Americans and a home to many families looking to preserve their heritage and also share it with others.
<- Chinatown has grown and evolved in previous years, increasing its population of those of Asian descent. Some of the initiatives its' taken show how the area is modernizing and still preserving cultural traditions at the same time.
<- This is a reflection of societal biases against the community. While some depictions of it note the crime and such in these neighborhoods, in reality, it is a community with a strong engagement in civil life.
