At Chicago Farm Lab, we cultivate connections between people, food, and the land through gardening, education, and regenerative agriculture. Through hands-on gardening and shared learning, we nurture not only the soil and plants, but also the people who care for them. We create opportunities for community and students to learn about nutritious food, grow it themselves, develop practical skills for agricultural self-sufficiency, and become stewards of the environment. 

We envision a future where local accessibilty opportunity meaningful access to the land and the knowledge needed to grow nourishing food; where gardens become places for neighbors to learn, work, and grow together; and where regenerative agriculture helps create a healthier environment and a stronger, more connected community. We are proud to do this work in Belmont Cragin, a vibrant Latino community on Chicago’s West Side with a rich history of resilience and community connection. By investing in the land and the people who care for it, we are helping cultivate a more sustainable and thriving future—one garden, one neighbor, and one harvest at a time.
