Greetings /Saludos

Hi everyone! 

I am Ms. Cadena and I am 301, 302 and 304's Math teacher. This is my 14th year teaching at Chavez. I also attended Chavez as from ages 8 to 14 years old. Go Bulldogs!

I am a proud Mexican-American/Latina who was born and raised in Back of the Yards. I currently still live in the community with my husband, Emiliano, our son Julian, our youngest daughter Elena and our dog Pedro. If you see us around feel free to say hello!

Hola todos!

Yo soy Ms. Cadena y soy la maestra de Matemáticas de los salones 301, 302 y 304. Tengo 14 años dando clases aquí en la Chavez. También asistí la Chavez de las edades de 8 a 14 años. Go Bulldogs! 

Soy orgullosamente Mexicana-Americana/Latina que nació y fue criada en el Barrio de las Empacadoras. Sigo viviendo en la comunidad con mi esposo, Emiliano, mi hijo Julian, mi hija mas pequeña Elena y nuestra mascota Pedro. Si nos ven, no duden en saludarnos!

Class Overview

Resumen del Año

Math: We will be learning various topics that build on what you have learned in previous years to get you ready for 5th grade. They include:

Students will be given various opportunities to work on their multiplcation fluency. It is extremely important that they learn all of their multiplication facts before 5th grade. ST Math has a fluency component and each student will be given multiplication flash cards to use to practice at home. 

Math: Este año estaremos aprendiendo sobre diferentes temas que se basan en lo que han aprendido en años anteriores para estar preparados para el quinto grado. Incluyen: 

Tambien se les var dar varias oportunidades para trabajar en su fluidez de las tablas de multiplcar. Es super importante que se aprendan todas las tablas antes del quinto grade. ST Math tienen un componente de Fluidez y a cada estudiante se le entregará tarjetas de multiplicación para que las usen para practicar en casa.
