About the Project
Our Lane Tech Data Science Class analyzed the use of the Chicago Transportation Authority (CTA) for Lane Tech students as well as the city as a whole. With the assistance of the CTA and data science professionals we have found trends, patterns, and have obtained a broader understanding of the CTA at the scale of just our school and at the much larger scale of all of Chicago! We hope to make a postive change for both Lane Tech families and also all Chicagoans who use the CTA to help them have a better understanding of patterns in the CTA and how to possibly alter their commute. Please take a look at our work to learn some more information about the CTA which effects hundreds of thousands of Chicagoans!

We explored specifically how the 49(Western) and 152(Addison) buses worked for Lane Tech. Popularity of stops, times of bus rides etc.
How does the CTA work for Chicago as a whole?
How does the CTA work for Chicago as a whole?
We looked at the CTA for Chicago at a very broad scale. We looked at how ridership trends have varied through the years, months, and how weather changes ridership as well.
