My name is Katie Dingle and this is my fourth year as a school counselor at Budlong Elementary. I received my Bachelors in Theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University and my Masters in School and Community Counseling from Loyola University Chicago. After doing my internship at Northside College Prep, I was thrilled to take on this role and work with the incredible community at Budlong! As a school counselor, it is an honor to support the entire student body in accessing a quality education. I work towards this goal by supporting teachers and advocating for students, data analysis, crisis support, classroom lessons, group counseling, and short-term individual counseling. My name is Kirsten Johnson and this is my third year as a school counselor, and my first year at Budlong Elementary. I earned my Bachelors in Sociology from Central College and my Masters of Science in Education - School Counseling degree from Buena Vista University. Prior to joining the Budlong team, I spent two years in Chicago Public Schools as a school counselor on the West Side. I believe social-emotional education is critical to development of the whole child and I am proud to support Budlong students in their learning.
