AP US History Exam Review Materials
College Board Review Video Playlist
Videos by the college board (they make the test!) reviewing MCQ, SAQ, DBQ, and LEQ, as well as a full review session for each unit of the course.
A one page study guide for each unit of the course.
Essays from past exams, graded by the College Board and explanations for each score.
This website has a video for each unit, primary source documents (many of which will be used in DBQs!) and images or political cartoons relevant to each unit. There are also interactive timelines for each time period.
Heimler’s History: APUSH Review Playlist
Steven Heimler makes videos for every section of every unit– his videos are short and to the point, but can be a bit annoying if you watch too many of them.
Crash Course US History Playlist
By Author John Green– Very broad histories of each time period– missing some details, but a great general overview of each major time period. He talks fast– don’t be afraid to set the playback time to .75 or .5. Not fully aligned with the AP curriculum, but most videos relate pretty closely.
Crash Course Black American History
By Author Clint Smith– These videos are more serious, and focused on Black American History. They are a great supplement to the Crash Course US History videos, as they include information that is often left out of John Green’s videos.
A full collection of videos, articles, practice quizzes, and images all sorted by unit and section (aligned with the AP US history curriculum). The articles are written in a very simple way, so very easy to understand.
Full Practice APUSH Exam (answer key)
A great way to practice your exam skills by taking this exam at home and scoring it yourself– the answer key is on the second link.
