Sign up for the College Green Light scholarship portal at https://www.collegegreenlight.com/. When signing up, please select that you are part of a college readiness program, select Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) and then find Lillian Butler-Ludwig, our Amundsen ISAC representative. Ms. Butler-Ludwig can help students search for and apply for scholarships! * Deadline to accept the offer of admission has been moved to June 1. As a reminder, UIC does not have an enrollment deposit.
* Fall undergraduate applications reopened for both first-year and transfer applicants.* Summer Orientation has been moved fully online. The asynchronous online modules will be available to students on June 1. Students will continue to receive updates about summer programs.
* The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships has been working diligently to help families work through processes in cases where their financial circumstances have been impacted. Students may request a deferral through our petition process.
If students have questions regarding admissions at UIC, please contact UIC.
The classroom portion, 30 hours, can be completed through remote learning.
* The permit test
* The six-hour behind the wheel portion.
* No, the graduation requirement is not waived for seniors. Seniors currently enrolled in a driver ed course can complete it during remote learning.
* Seniors currently enrolled in on-line (virtual) Driver Education can continue to do coursework and fulfill the requirement through remote learning.
* If students have not previously enrolled in a driver’s education course, they can engage in a virtual course. This option is only available for the Seniors that will graduate in June, this includes students who turned 18 between March and May and were planning to fulfill the requirement by taking a test at the DMV.
* Students were already alerted that credit recovery (CR) classes began last week
* CR teachers should have already reached out to students this week. Please pay attention to your email.
* CR teachers should provide work for students to complete. They might create Google Classrooms. Make sure to join their Google Classroom.
* CR classes will be extended by two weeks to make up from the original school closure prior to Spring Break.
* Grades still count! If a student fails a recovery class, he/she will need to make it up later. (Note: if you need to take the class again, you will need to pay for it again.)
* Build time into your week to work on your recovery class.
